Reflection: I felt as though a brochure was best to make for college students on this subject because it holds a lot of information but in a quick way. It is easy for them to see what life is really like at college and learn that there are strategies out there to help them and they aren't the only ones struggling with time management. The most important thing I found about making this brochure is to make it organized and appealing to the eye to pull people in and want to learn about the information you have to offer. Contrast: I used simple colors so the reader isn't overwhelmed because of all the pictures and information as well. This balances it out and makes it more appealing. Repetition: I used the same fonts and text sizes according to the text being a headline or details of that headline. Alignment: The pictures are all aligned to the center and all the text is aligned to the left. The details are aligned with each other and with the titles they are under. Proximity: Everything is separated by topic than by details of that topic. This makes it easy for the reader to find the information they're looking for much faster and easier. Purpose: To get a glimpse of how students manage their time in college with all the new demands and responsibilities. Audience: College students who need help knowing how to manage their time. Genre: Brochure Engagement: To help others with what I struggled with when coming to college by sharing the information I have found through my CLUE project.

Contrast: The headings are bright red colors to capture the reader's attention to what those details are about, to pull them in. The colors of the brochure are more pastel, making the information more "bold" to the eye. Repetition: The use of red for every title of details Alignment: Everything is aligned to its group: the titles, categories, then sub categories. Proximity: The information put together is significant to each other and go according to what the titles are. Purpose: To give college kids the facts about drinking and how harmful it can really be. It is a warning that you need to realize the realities of your decisions when it comes to drinking by being informed. Audience: College Students Genre: Brochure Engagement: For the author to have a part in reducing the terrible outcomes that can happen when college students abuse alcohol.

Contrast: There are only three colors, blue, red and white, but they're used so much that the pamphlet looks very colorful yet professional. Repetition: The titles are all in uppercase while the information is in lower case. When the background is white, they use blue for the information and red for the titles but when it is the red background, they use white for both the title and the information. Alignment: Everything is aligned to the left and to the lines above them. Proximity: All the information is relevant to the brochure and also placed correctly by being relevant to the titles. Purpose: To give information on finding the right international study program for yourself Audience: College Students Genre: Brochure Engagement: The author wants to help students find the right program for studying internationally so he can reach his goal of helping others be successful in this.

Contrast: There are only a couple colors which makes it more serious Repetition: White is used for the text in gray while the text on white is black. The use of boxes around information. Alignment: Everything is aligned and appealing to the eye. Proximity: The information relates to the information it is placed with. Purpose: To give parents more information on bullying. Audience: Parents Genre: Brochure Engagement: The author wants to give this information to parents to decrease bullying
Reflection: I found a flyer to be the easiest thing to use to capture a parent's attention. There is so much information thrown at them when it comes to their kids and college therefor I decided it would be best to do something simple but grab their attention at the same time. This technique is straight to the point and an easy process. There is a lot of information to be learned and by giving them an idea of what the event is about and information they may not know about, makes people want to go. Contrast: I used subtle colors to make it more professional and appealing to an older adult looking for serious information. Repetition: I used all caps for my titles and the same font for all the text on according to titles, categories, and details. Alignment: Everything is aligned according to the titles and their subcategories Proximity: Time spent at school and outside of school is grouped together on one side while questions you should ask your kid are grouped together on the right side. All the information is grouped together by relating to the title is is under. It is also neatly done to look organized and easy to read. Purpose: To show parents how their kids are most likely spending their time at college and to make them want to learn how to help them balance it all together. Audience: Parents of college students Genre: Flyer Engagement: To use the information from my Clue project to help me inform parents what they constantly worry about; how will their kids balance everything and get them to come to the event to do so.

Contrast: Colorful and vibrant; The parts that they want you to see right away are outlined in bright lime green to pull the reader in. The picture in the background gives it a fun aspect. Repetition: Everything is in uppercase letters Alignment: Everything is centered except for the details which are aligned all together to the left, it's neat and organized Proximity: The information is placed by its what the author wants you to see first but it is all relevant to eachother Purpose: To get people to come to the Halloween event Audience: Anyone who likes Halloween and horror Genre: Flyer Engagement: By getting people to come they will make money by selling tickets

Contrast: The colors are bright and "outdoorsy", like spring colors Repetition: The titles are in uppercase while the details are in lowercase. The use of orange makes certain information pop out of the details. Alignment: Everything is aligned to their titles, looking organized Proximity: Everything is according to it's title and in an order that the reader would usually read it Purpose: To recycle anything you don't want by giving it up or by receiving things people don't want. Audience: Anyone Genre: Flyer Engagement: The author's goal is to lessen the amount of waste dumped by recycling anything the people don't want.
Contrast: There are only two primary colors which are red a blue Repetition: Both sides are burgers but different ones. The use of white as the test color Alignment: Aligned according the left or right since it is "torn down the middle" Proximity: The names of the sandwiches and their prices are one the side they're matched up to just as the burgers are on that side. Purpose: To aim at two groups of people that like one or the other, sometimes both, and make them want one. Audience: Anyone Genre: Flyer Engagement: To sell more burgers and get people to eat at McDonald's
Reflection: For a satire, a flyer is the easiest to make off of because of the simplicity and minimum about to change. While satires exaggerate and are not completely true, there is usually some truth behind it just as this one. Satires tend to be about what most people think but don't say, just as this one does; it shows the other side no one is willing to look at. Contrast: I used the same colors as the original but changed the picture to a drunk guy instead of a studious one. A lot of college kids are out drinking and that's why they end up like the picture of the crazy studious kid. Repetition: I used all caps for my titles and the same font for all the text on this flyer. This is the exact poster as my original flyer, only some of the context is changed as well as the picture. Alignment: The titles are centered and the two categories are aligned to each other. The picture is aligned to the center as well. Proximity: Everything is grouped together by category and located appropriately on the flyer. Purpose: To make people laugh Audience: College students Genre: Satire Engagement: To use the information from my Clue project and turn it into something that exaggerates things and turns it into a joke since most college students know the reality of college drinking.
